I was feeling a little peckish this afternoon. I posted the "Back in Two Minutes" sign on the door so I could get myself a diet coke.
When I came back look-ie what I found waiting for me on the porch! Four of the most beautiful hanging baskets I have ever seen.
I just have one problem, how the heck am I going to hang them? Of all days to wear a dress!
Quilt Essential Fabrics located in Historic Downtown Abbotsford had an unexpected visitor arrive the other day. We were contacted by writer Sheila Roberts. Who was in Vancouver recently.
She has written many popular novels, but this heartwarming novel "On Strike for Christmas" was the reason for her calling.
As you may recall this was shot on location down by the shop.
Sheila Roberts missed the actual filming so we showed her and her husband around the place. What a lovely couple! Sheila was kind enough to give me two of her latest books, signed! How sweet.
The original story line had it set in a town called Holly with no budget for snow and 30 degree heat, it was changed to Santa Cruz.
The Historic Downtown is buzzing again. Another movie is being filmed this time downtown Abbotsford will be transformed to "Christmas in Miami".
There is just something so special about Vintage, isn't there?

This is by far... My favourite recipe for chocolate chip cookies... ever!
I use an ice-cream scoop to make the cookie making process go a little more quickly.
These are so worth making making with just the right amount of chewy, gooey & crispy goodness.

This is what I have been working on... it is has been a real slow go for me. Keep in mind my daily "TO DO" is sometimes bigger than I care to admit.

I have been fascinated by Charlie Harper and covet the book, "An Illustrated Life". I was lucky enough to have my daughter give it as a Christmas gift a couple of years back.
This "wee" (each fabric measures 2.5") little birdie was inspired by a photo taken of this mural designed by Charley Harper in the downtown Cincinnati John Weld Peck Federal Building.
